I'm starting this week off with a smidge of motivation that I found in the back of my closet somewhere. Hopefully it's enough to get me started on the right track.
I've decided to extend a challenge to myself, via my blog, so that I have witnesses and therefore feel obligated to follow through with it.
I've decided that to get myself out of my work-out rut that I have been in lately, I am going to make myself do one purposely active thing every day. Walking around at work doesn't count, and I want to do at least three good cardio workouts every week. If not cardio, then I want to make myself get up and go for a walk, or do some yoga, something along those lines. Once I get going back into a healthy routine, I know it'll feel so good that I'll want to keep to it.
I'm not looking for something to change myself drastically...I still eat pretty much whatever I want ha, although I try to keep an eye on portions and not always have dessert [so hard]. What I really want is to stay active to keep my energy up and maybe tighten up the edges a little, you know, for good measure.
So, I started it off right today with a mile and a half run and some ab work.
I'm feeling pretty good about it.
Chili probably didn't help me out too much, but it was delicious.
