Time to untuck

Daylight savings time is kind of a pushy little git isn't it?

I mean it's not that the extra light hours are unwelcome, by any means. Not at all.
It's just that for some months now we've all been tucked into our hoodies and blankets and leggings and staying inside to escape the arctic breeze and sleeping as much as possible and blaming our inherent laziness on Seasonal Affective Disorder so we don't feel so bad...
and now here comes DST, all bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready to add two more hours of productivity to your day than you had last week.

It was light at 7:30 p.m. yesterday, and all night I felt like it was way earlier than it was.
At 11:00 p.m. I was completely caught off guard.
This trend does not bode well for my 8 hours in the coming summer months.
[bahaha. I made a funny. 8 hours! pshh]

Really though.
Even though Memphis weather is bipolar and it doesn't understand that Spring has in fact, sprungit still has, and the longer days and steadily increasing temps [give or take a few mania days...] are calling to us to
untuck.

I'm totally on board.
It might be my absolute favorite feeling ever the first time you wear a tank top outside in the Spring, and the sun lands on the tops of your shoulders and you flex your toes in your flip flops because it feels awesome and your body takes a deep breath of thanks that the dark days are over.
[and in my case, immediately sneezes about 4 times. ]
