Getting settled

I am officially a Memphian again!
After a LOT of packing and loading and driving and unpacking and organizing and cleaning... I have finally moved all the way in, and I am getting settled quite nicely back in Memphis.

It turned out to be a blessing in disguise that we had a little mishap with Yodi over the fourth of July, because having the extra space in the rental really saved me...There was barely room for me in my car on the drive back!

and that's not even all of it! AA's back seat was full of my stuff, plus a few things in her trunk, AND I had already taken a load home over the fourth..
Yeah. I have a lot of stuff.

So, since I have been back, I have been occupying most of my time trying to organize everything and get stuff arranged, all the while trying to scheme up new job ideas [since my efforts heretofore have yet to be successful...] But, I'm trying not to get too down about that, because there have been some definite positives:
+ Got my internet to connect to lkj's wireless finally!
+ My car is done, so I'll pick him up today and I can put that large financial mishap behind me...
+All my stuff fit quite nicely in the house, and I've worked my OCD magic on some of the rooms already ha [boy's house-dire need of help.]
+I'm going on a hibachi date tonight :) [I think I might have eaten more hibachi than Mexican recently, and that's saying something...]
+ I'm still finding new job leads, and in fact I am going to meet with someone today, so that means that hopefully soon, I will be a working woman again.
+ lkj and I are going to Vegas on Friday! [with a little side visit in Nashville, where I can rendezvous with the uncle and with Emmy!]

Lots to be excited about! It's funny, I have to keep reminding myself that I am here to stay this time... Every so often I catch myself thinking about when I need to get back on the road, but thankfully, my days of trudging up and down I-40 have come to an end [although not entirely, because I have a few ladies who will be requiring my visit in the near future, I'm sure. But that's different :)]

Yours, truly
